It would be nice if they came up with turn style board for this super version. Fast shipment. Game is very fun and makes a lasting game with the extra tiles.
One of the best games has incredibly bettered itself, and anyone would find it well worth the price. I have waited eons for a bigger scrabble game. Only thing I was disappointed about was that I thought it came with the grid to keep the tiles secure, as our pets insist on becoming part of the play.I may put tiny droplets of clear silicone as dots at corners of every square to keep tiles on spaces better, easy, cheap and won't be noticed.
Just outstanding. More room, more tiles, etc. Buy it if you like scrabble. My wife and I play this game multiple times a week. We're both scrabble fans, loving the original as well as presidential scrabble -- but this one is the best.
That's the good part.The board however, is a split-to-open design, and seems to (at least with mine) to have arrived slightly warped, which means that the letters along the fold tend to center.Frankly, it doesn't work very well, especially if you're used to playing on a deluxe edition board, or the Barnes and Nobles edition (and so forth).If you enjoy Scrabble, it might be worth it to you, but if you don't have a deluxe edition already, just get that instead. Super Scrabble is a fun concept, and looks well in design. Take all the times from Scrabble, and double them, and double the amount of spaces around the edges.
Everyone doesn't want to build around the triple word scores because of normal Scrabble phobias, which means you have a very center-concentrated game in what needs to be a very spread out game. When you feel like it should be over, you realize you're not even halfway done. Don't expect to want to see the people you start this endeavor with for a couple of days afterwords, as tensions will be high by the time it is over. The good thing about the original game of scrabble, it lasts just long enough so that once everyone starts really getting sick of it, you realize the grab bag is almost empty. This game is a lot like a marathon.
